Here is a second look featuring more of the shadows released in the Mac Me Over collection.  Satin Taupe is a permanent shade that was released in this collection.  Satin Taupe is a ridiculously popular shade (among makeup junkies).  Last year, I swatched this shade at a Mac counter and it looked like mud-purple, bird poop on my hand.  I figured it was too cool for my skintone, fell in love with Mac’s Sable and never looked back.  I swatched it again when this collection came out and it didn’t look half bad.  Maybe the first tester shadow I swatched had gone bad or maybe I was in a big makeup buzz, but I bought it.

I smoothed a small amount of Primer Potion on to my lid and used a Sigma 239 brush to apply the paint pot.  I chose Blackberry for my crease color and used a Sigma 217 to apply the shade.  Using a Mac 239 brush, I applied Satin Taupe to my lower lid only and left the upper part of lid bare.  Using the other side of the 239 brush, I put Mythical above Satin Taupe and blended it into my crease color.

I used Carbonized and a Sigma 214 pencil brush to define my Outer V.  The Sigma pencil brush is softer than the Mac pencil brush, which allows for a bit of blending.  So, I used this brush to blend this color over to the lid shades.  If you missed out on the Mac Mega Metal shadow in Centre Stage…Carbonized is your color.  See my Swatch Bin for a side-by-side swatch.

I applied Dark Diversion fluidline with a Mac 263 angled brush to my upper and lower lash line.  To my water line, I chose a shimmery taupe shade.

See The Swatch Bin (brown, dark brown and red) for swatches of the lid shadows used in this look.  Swatches of the two Mac fluidlines I picked up from this collection can be found in the Gorgeous Midnight Blues post.
