Here is another look using Mega Metal shades by MAC. These shadows can be used wet or dry. I used them dry in this post. You may experience some fallout using these shadows wet. I don’t have dupes of Mating Call or Noir Plum in my collection, which is good because it helped justify me buying it.
As of this writing, many of these shadows are sold out on MAC’s website. There is still availability at the counters and major department store websites. Mega Metals are pricier than normal MAC shadows, but the pan is enormous and well worth the extra dollars.

I applied MUFE #58 to the crease with a stiff dome brush. This color is beautifully bright raspberry pink. It can also be used as a blush. The color was heavily blended out so as it appears, the color is muted. I blended up this shade into my brow bone using a skin tone shade.
The highlight color I used is light pink shade that has a slight sheen to it. On me, it’s pale enough to use as a highlight. I mistakenly recommended this shade to someone who is a lot paler than me and it was way too pink for her. So use what you got and like.
The Outer V was shaped using a pencil brush with Vile Violet. This step adds dimension to Noir Plum and allows the V to be formed without adding too much shimmer to the crease. I ended up darkening this shade a little more using Mac’s Shadow Lady.
Mating Call was patted on to the inner two thirds of the lid. Noir Plum was added to the outer third and lightly blended over to create a nice fade.
Notes:
Vile Violet was a Mac limited edition shade that came out with the Venomous Villains collection. The color is slightly lighter than Indian Ink (permanent Mac Pro shade).
My favorite shadow primer is Nars, but I have a tube of UD Primer Potion to use up so, indulge me.
UD 24/7 Shadow Pencils are new for this company. I picked up a few to use on my waterline. Unfortunately for wallet and my eye, it burns like a mutha! These shadow pencils are very pigmented so it’s worth checking out, but beware if you’re going to use them on your waterline.
