Tarte Tartiest Metallic

Tarte has released new single pan metallic shadows. I’ve been playing with and wearing these shadows for the past couple of weeks and love them. I realize that I like and love a lot the items I blog about because I buy products that I plan to use. Believe me when I say, Tarte knocked these out of the park. They are pigmented, buttery smooth and blend out wonderfully. The metallic finish isn’t too harsh and disco-ballish.

As they are buttery, it’s easier to pick up a bit more product on your brush than intended. If you have the habit of knocking off excess, it shouldn’t be an issue. I personally didn’t experience any fallout. The color didn’t fade or crease on me either; however, my lids require a primer.

Admittedly, there is nothing special about the shade range. If you have a large make up collection, you may already have two dupes of all of these shades. Despite having dupes, sometimes it’s nice to use and play with quality products. My wallet would object, but I certainly wouldn’t mind an expanded color range in this formula.

Another nice feature of these shadows is the pan is magnetic and can come out to make your own palette

Unfortunately, you can only buy these online on Sephora’s website or from Tarte directly. Each shade is $14 with 0.07 oz.

1 – Dame is a dusty rose.

2 – Shake Down is a light taupe.

3 – Grind is a silver taupe.

4 – Poker Face is a silver lilac.

5 – Sinful is a plum slate.

6 – Whiskey is a medium dark bronze.

7 – Scandal is a bright copper.

8 – Speakeasy is a dark brown copper.

9 – Scarlet is a metallic plum.

Do you think this is a good buy?. Are these colors only available in this form? The reason why I’m asking is because usually if its in palette form its usually cheaper. I could be wrong

  2. Dusty rose and scarlet are beautiful! I was totally unaware that these were released, thanks for educating me! Beautiful colors though😍
