I’m admittedly late with this collection as it launched in mid-June. The collection is relatively small and I was initially only interested in one product. So, I debated for a while and Fyrinnae won.
Fyrinnae’s Pride collection features two pressed shadows, two loose shadows and two lip lustres. It’s an interesting collage of colors. You’ve got an iridescent purple, red, taupe, warm pink and cool pink. I didn’t purchase everything, but I’m pleased with what I purchased.
A while ago, Fyrinnae launched its pressed line of eye shadows. It’s primarily pressed versions of some of their loose shades. Occasionally, they will release a new shade and Hitched is one. This is the first pressed Fyrinnae product I’ve tried. The shade is a lovely wearable deep red with a soft sheen and buildable intensity but isn’t as complex as their loose shades. It is soft in texture, but not powdery and blends with ease. ($8.25 for 2g)
The shade I originally had my eye on is their Arcane Wizards’ Wedding Cake. It is described as a chocolate brown base with blue shimmer shifting to pink. On my skin, the brown base practically disappears, leaving the gorgeous shifting shimmer behind. If your skin is lighter, the base will definitely be more apparent and dramatic. ($6.80 for 3g)
Agenda was the shade I was unsure of as gray taupes are hard to pull off on my warm brown skin. I’m glad I took a chance. It is the lovely pink sparkle that makes this shade wearable for a broader range of skin undertones. The base seems more of a purple-gray, but that could be the pink playing tricks on my eyes. When swatched, the pink really shines through. ($6.25 for 3g)
The Lip Lustre in Queer Theory was a wonderful surprise. It is described as a warm pink. To me, it is a bright pinky coral…a fantastically bright pinky coral. It can be applied sheer for a hint of color or heavier for full color. The base of Lip Lustre’s is mango seed butter and jojoba oil, so the texture is thin but very moisturizing. Since it doesn’t have a heavy waxy base, you will need a liner as it tends to bleed into lines. Remove any dry or flaky skin as this will put a spotlight on lip imperfections. ($7 for 8ml)
