I raise my glass to the beauty of red eye shadow. It is scary, especially to those new to eye shadow or neutral fans. I remember being petrified. I stayed away from this lovely Fyrinnae shade for a long time, but the great thing about it is that it leans pink. It goes on much softer on the eye, so don’t be afraid. It even makes a great lip color (yes, Fyrinnae is versatile).

I put a bit of Primer Potion on my lid and dusted Mac’s Soft Brown on my lid from the crease to the brow. Using a Mac 217 brush, I blended Folie into my crease and into the Outer V. I darkened the Outer V using Embark.
To enhance the Fyrinnae shade, I dabbed on a tiny amount of Pixy Epoxy on my lid with my finger and being careful not to put it above my crease. The great thing about Pixy Epoxy is that it doesn’t disturb the matte shade I already applied. Using a Mac 239 brush, I patted on Kamikaze on my lid and lightly on the inner corner. Using what is left of the red shade on my brush, I blended the red up to the dark brown color, though not completely covering the shade.
To add a bit of ‘light’ to the lid, I put a lovely shimmery orange shade (Electro-Koi) on the center of my lid using the other side of the same 239 brush. The color was concentrated on the lash line and light blended up to the crease. Using a small shader brush (Mac 228), I put a gold shade to the inner corner.
The upper lash line was defined using a very dark (nearly black) brown liquid liner. A lighter brown liner was used on the lower lash line. A gold shade was used for the lower water line.
I recently picked up new brow products by Anastasia. I wasn’t happy with Anastasia’s brow pencil. I do like Mac’s crayon, but Anastasia’s Brow Wiz (crayon) has a spoolie on the other end. That makes it more travel friendly compared to Mac. The brow gel is nice too. It’s unfortunate my pictures don’t show how dark my brows look to the naked eye.
