MAC Peacocky featuring Paparazz-She and Centre Stage

This look uses more of my Megal Metal shadows by MAC.  I’ll back off of them for a while (because I have new and exciting things to replace them)!!!!

I love looks using gold, copper/orange and red shades.  It can create a fantastically neutral but spicy eye.  It can also be glammed-up for spring / summer.  One of my first posts features this color combo.  I knew I’d do this combo again, but I didn’t think it would be so soon.  I blame Mac.  🙂

On warm brown skin, Paparazz-She is a particularly fantastic shade as most oranges are.  I was most disappointed in Tweet Me.  It is a pretty pale peach shade with gold shimmer.  On a neutral base, the shade is a simple pale gold.  To get the peach tone to come out, I’ve had to use a coral paint pot, which I didn’t do in this post.  I find this typical for most of the light peach shadows I own.

As of this writing, many of these shadows are sold out on MAC’s website.  There is still availability at the counters and major department store websites.  Mega Metals are pricier than normal MAC shadows, but the pan is enormous and well worth the extra dollars.

The brown shades were used to define my crease and form the Outer V using a stiff dome brush.  The crease color was blended up using my favorite Tete-A-Tint. (Tete-A-Tint has been discontinued in the pan-only form.  It is still available at stores in the full pot.)  The highlight shade was a limited edition color that came out with the Venomous Villains collection.  It is a typical highlight shade, but it has a yellow undertone.  Use what you have and like.

Tweet Me was applied to the inner corner and blended up. Paparazz-She was patted on using a flat shader brush.  Centre Stage was put on the outer third and blended up to the crease.  I used a bit of the red shade ‘Sex-Pectations’ (don’t you love that name!) to blend the orange and brown shades together.

Notes:

My favorite shadow primer is Nars, but I have a tube of UD Primer Potion to use up so, indulge me.

NARS Taj Mahal blush is a beautiful medium orange with shimmer.  The color itself is fantastic and I highly recommend it for all warm toned people in general, but specifically brown skin.  I don’t give it the love it deserves because of the shimmer and my oily skin.  It’s definitely worth checking out.
