These are limited edition Mega Metal shades by MAC and one of their better eye shadow collections as far as consistent quality and pigmentation. Odalisque is a pretty medium teal color (it looks too blue in my photo unfortunately). Not hard to dupe. Dalliance is a unique shade and has varying nuances depending on your undertone and skin shade. On me, Dalliance is a very pale champagne shade approaching silver. I almost didn’t get it because it is similar to Fyrinnae’s Platinum (featured in my Archmage New Year post). Platinum has more shimmer and depth. If you can’t get Dalliance, Platinum is your best bet.
These new Mac Mega Metal shades are very soft, pigmented and can be used wet. The softness also creates a lot of fallout and I’ve also noticed the shadow will bead up a little in the pan when used wet.

Makeup Forever’s #30 is applied to the crease using a stiff dome brush. This color is blended out using Soft Brown (not pictured). Soft Brown on me isn’t far off from my skin tone so a face powder can be used. Vanilla is applied and heavily blended out using a short shader brush under my brow.
Odalisque isn’t a dark enough color for me to use alone on my outer third. I used Plumage to shape my outer V and add some depth to Odalisque. Plumage is a very dark teal shade and is an example of a typical bad Mac matte shade. I used a pencil brush to apply the color and getting the color onto my brush felt like chalk. The pigmentation is there, but the texture is…blah.
Dalliance is applied to the inner two thirds of my lid. Odalisque is then applied to my outer third and lightly blended over to Dalliance. I took a clean blending brush and blended the upper edge of those two colors into my crease. Odalisque completely covers up Plumage, but if it wasn’t there, you would be able to see the difference.
The liners and cheek color don’t need an explanation. As far as the lips…I used Revlon’s Colorstay lipliner all over the lip. Mac Thrills lipstick is a rose / amber color, but is much more amber on my pigmented. It’s a bit too frosty for me and I don’t reach for it too often. I lightly applied Mac Pret-a-Papier lipgloss (darker rose color with a hint of amber) to bring out more of the rose color.
